Promoting Vegan Agriculture

Produce nutrient sourcing is a highly overlooked topic, even in the realm of veganism. Today, it is standard practice to grow most produce with the by-products of the animal ag industry, including bone meal, blood meal, fish emulsion, and manure; however, this is does not produce as healthy of plants compared to growing produce with organic plant-based nutrient sources like compost tea, kelp, earth minerals and mulch. Vegan agriculture brings us one step closer to realizing a world that is not reliant on commodifying animals. We aim to promote vegan and organic farming practices and support the farming communities involved.

"The key findings show stark differences in productivity: Vegan-organic agriculture can be 4,198% more productive than animal-based agriculture in the amount of food produced per acre." https://faunalytics.org/the-potential-of-vegan-organic-agriculture/

The vegan-organic farm under study was 3% more productive than conventional and 41.6% more productive than organic farming methods. Waste from the veganic farm was less than 1%, while both the conventional and organic systems would waste 24%. https://humaneherald.org/2018/12/14/the-productivity-of-vegan-organic-farming/

The process of using animal products to grow plants is not at all necessary in healthy agriculture. As vegan advocates, we can help lead a better way of growing food.
